3 Most Affordable Music Streaming Services

Whether it’s headbanging to Metallica or crying our hearts out to Celine Dion, you got to admit, music does add some pretty interesting and maybe laughable memories to our lives.

I, for one, need music all the time, whether I’m at home, in the toilet, or at work unless, of course, I’m stuck in those unnecessary corporate meetings. If you’re like me and can’t live without music for even a second then you might want to keep reading, my friend, because I’m about to give you just what you need.

Drum roll, please, as I introduce the 3 most affordable music streaming services that will have you vibing wherever you are. How? Because they’re all online, so as long as your internet can keep up, the party won’t stop.

P.S. you might want to consider Spectrum for a fast and reliable internet connection. You can reach out to their 24/7 customer service for a plan.

Now, let’s get this party started!

Spotify

The undisputed king for many reasons. First, they’ve got a library of more than a 100 million songs, and 7 million podcasts, and even 350,000 audiobooks, if you’re into those. Secondly, it’s not just limited to newer tracks, you can find old timeless classics from any genre, whether you’re into rock, electro, pop, it has it all. There are also a lot of hidden gems of artists sharing their music too, so who knows, you might just find a new favorite.

There is just a little hiccup, while they’ve given us the option to use it for free, you already know you’re going to be bombarded with ads and limited to only a few features, where’s the fun in that? For an ad free, unlimited experience, you might want to choose a paid plan, and yes, they’re all quite affordable. Whether you’re a student or all about that fam life, they’ve got a plan for you. Take a look:

  • Spotify Student: $4.99 monthly
  • Spotify Premium: $9.99 monthly
  • Spotify Family: $15.99 monthly

Apple Music

Sorry Android users, this one’s just for us Applebees (see what I did there?). Steve Jobs really was a legend, he’s done a lot to make our lives better, and Apple Music is, in my humble opinion, one of his best creations. The service has over a 100 million songs that you can enjoy ad free. You can enjoy features like a great audio quality, and lossless audio.

While apple music doesn’t offer a free plan, they have added a few magic touches for us. Their plan costs just 5 dollars, and new subscribers, students, and even those on Apple One can all get their first month free, but students get to enjoy Apple TV too, I’m going back to school!

  • Apple Music Subscription: $4.99 monthly

Amazon

For some reason, with Apple and Amazon’s music services, I always imagine Steve Jobs and Jeff Bezos in a breakdancing battle, must be my wild imagination. Both are tech giants, and when it comes to music, Amazon is a solid contender to Apple. While Apple is limited to its own users, Amazon takes a more inclusive and budget friendly approach.

Whether you’re an Applebee or a Droid, you can enjoy over a 100 million ad free songs, ad free podcasts, and thousands of playlists and stations. They’ve got a free plan but if you happen to be an Amazon Prime user, you’ll also get a discount on their paid plan. That’s not all, you can expect an HD listening experience that fiercely rivals Apple and Spotify, plus they’re expanding their support for newer speakers as we speak. Here are their plans:

  • Amazon Music Unlimited: $11.99 per month and $10.99 per month for Amazon Prime users.

Notable Mentions

While the 3 shared above are some of the most used streaming apps, there’s a lot of hidden gems that I came across, and this section shares 2 that I loved the most:

YouTube Music

A rising underdog, this one’s gradually coming closer and closer to rivaling with the 3 shared above. We’ve often seen it upgrade its look and feel, and its library is also extensive, with over 100 million songs for you to jam to. That being said, I feel like they could work a bit on their audio quality, if they really wanna roll with the big boys.

  • IDAGIO

Chances are you’ve not heard of this one, because I hadn’t either, but decided to give it a go anyway. The service focuses on classical music and while I didn’t expect to like what I heard, I kind of did. If you’re into or looking to try out classical music, this one’s for you. You can enjoy over 2.5 million classic symphonies from legends like Mozart, Baroque, and Beethoven.
